What Is iHost HouseMates?

iHost HouseMates provides Clients access to private accommodations with furniture, utilities, internet, and laundry usage, all for one fixed, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payment. iHost HouseMates facilitates all payments processing, screening, and background checks, maintenance, concerns, or issues. 

Where is iHost HouseMates offices located?

The benefit of iHost HouseMates is we can answer all your questions and concerns through our various support channels. You can reach us by phone, email, or even the iHost HouseMates Dashboard. 

What is the approval criteria to rent a room with iHost HouseMates?

We are looking for responsible, kind, and respectful future Residents who are willing to live in a shared community. We review your credit history. We also run criminal background checks for the safety of all our Residents. If you have specific concerns regarding credit or background checks, please reach out to our support team.

I can’t pay the application fee online, what should I do?

Please contact our team at support@ihostatlanta.com, or by phone at 404-942-8422, we may be able to arrange for an alternative way for you to pay the application fee.

Is my credit going to get pulled for the background check?

iHost HouseMates does review your credit history, however, it is unlikely to affect your credit score.

I didn't pass the background check - can I get a refund?

The application fee is non-refundable. However, If you fail because of credit,  income, or employment verification issues, you may be able to reapply for reconsideration if your credit or income increases. You must pass every step of the application process to be approved by iHost HouseMates. If you do not, you will not be able to move forward.

Can I view iHost accommodations before making a commitment?

Yes! Once you fill out the application forms, pay the $35 application fee, and are approved to rent with iHost HouseMates, we are available to provide you with a tour of the HouseMates property and the private accommodations you are interested in. 

Can I reserve accommodations if I'm interested?

Upon approval of your application and background check, you may hold accommodations you are interested in by making a non-refundable deposit in the amount equal to 1-weeks rent. iHost HouseMates will hold the accommodations on your behalf for 10-business days. Once you decide to move-in, your deposit will be applied to your account. Should you decide not to rent the the accommmodations iHost HouseMates is holding for you, you will forfeit your deposit. All deposits are non-refundable. 

How quick is the application and move-in process?

Once the application fee is paid, the iHost HouseMates team works hard to get everything processed, get you approved, and into your new home quickly. It usually takes 2-5 days for the entire process.

How much will it cost to move in?

  • The application fee is $35. It covers a background check, employment verification, and credit review.
  • At the time of confirming your accommodations, a security deposit equal to rent is due, along with your rent.

What if I don't like any of the homes?

Your approved application is good for 90 days. So keep checking our site for possible rooms that will work for you!  We are expanding and adding new homes and rooms frequently! As a result, we highly recommend completing the application process so you can be the first in line to pick from the newest available accommodations. 

Are HouseMates homes open to family and children?

iHost HouseMates loves children. And out of our concern for their comfort and safety along with the comfort of other HouseMates Residents, we have in place a no-children as residents policy. Children visiting a HouseMates Resident must be supervised, they may not be left alone or in the care of anyone who is not the child’s parent or legal guardian. 

Do you allow couples?

Couples are permitted. However, both parties must submit separate applications and be approved. For those who have two occupants, an additional fee will be added to your rate. Be sure to let us know during your iHost HousMates intake Interview if you plan on having someone living with you. 

Do you allow pets?

For the comfort and safety of the other HouseMates Residents, no pets or animals of any kind are allowed in or outside of the HouseMates premise
